Past Photo Contest Winners
2023 — Margie K., Redstone Lake
Margie's winning photo earned the Grand Prize: the image on a special coffee mug to help get through those long winter days back in the city.
2022 — Charlie Q., Burdock Lake
Charlie's winning shot also took home the coffee-mug Grand Prize.
How our photo contests work
When a contest is open, entries are submitted through the official contest channel announced in the newsletter and on social media. The standard rules:
- All photos must be original work, taken by the entrant, unaltered, and free of any third-party rights.
- Entries are judged by the association and all decisions are final.
- By entering, entrants agree that submitted photos can be used by the association for promotional purposes.
- Winners are contacted by email; prizes must be collected by the winner and are non-transferable.
Healthy Shoreline Contest
In past years the association has run a "spend a hundred, win a hundred" native-plants raffle: buy $100 or more of native plants for your shoreline and be entered to win one of three $100 prizes, drawn at the AGM. Watch for the next edition — and in the meantime, our Healthy Shoreline guide lists where to buy native plants locally.
